Location: Tampa, FL


Summary of Position:

This position works in conjunction with the Outside Sales/Marketing Team to market to Independent Insurance Agencies throughout their assigned territory. Develops strategic relationships helping agencies create, build and service their Lighthouse homeowner’s insurance book of business. ISR will spend significant time on the phone/computer communicating with both new and existing agencies to assist, train, onboard, and help the assigned agencies build and maintain their Lighthouse book of business. ISR will also travel to assigned territory to develop stronger relationships with agents.

Critical Responsibilities

  • Manage agency and professional relationships throughout designated territory.
  • Develop and maintain professional and effective agency relationships.
  • Train existing agents and new agents on company products and procedures.
  • Provide feedback regarding daily agent meetings.
  • Gather information regarding the competition’s initiatives and strategies.
  • Expanding current business by consistently understanding changing needs and making appropriate recommendations.
  • Work with Regional Sales Manager with planning overall marketing, training and strategic programs.
  • Ability to use decision making skills to offer options and resolves problems in a variety of contexts. Including conflict situations with the utmost professionalism while serving as a Company advocate.
  • Monitor and report monthly production goals.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas and minimum performance standards.
  • Input all sales activities into CRM within 24 hours.


  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • 1 year prior inside or outside sales/marketing. Homeowners Insurance industry experience a plus
  • Excellent Excel skills and ability to comprehend data and develop a plan of action from presented data
  • Experience with SalesForce or another CRM preferred
  • Strong follow-through skills and responsiveness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as listening and interviewing
  • Ability to work effectively and independently; self-starter
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and dependable though consistent filling of obligations
  • Must be able to travel 25-40% to meet agents in designated territory
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Knowledge of the P&C industry and general lines certification preferred
  • CPCU or CIC certification(s) a plus
